Driver's Ed. Instructor arrested for OWI

WHITEHALL, Wis. (WEAU)-- A Driver's Ed Instructor was pulled over for drunk driving on the way to pick up some kids for a lesson.

The Whitehall Police Department says 60-year-old Deborah Larson of Independence was taken into custody for 1st offense OWI.

Police say just after eight Sunday morning, an officer spotted a student driver car swerving and crossing the yellow line in Whitehall. The officer followed the driver into a Kwik Trip parking lot and discovered Larson was the driver. She was given a breath test that showed her alcohol level was .108.

Police say four students were at the Kwik Trip waiting for Larson for a lesson.
