Drug arrest at Rice Lake retail store

(WEAU) - Police arrested a man at a retail store in Rice Lake after finding drugs on him.

It all started when the 31-year-old man was stopped by a store worker in suspicion of theft. When officers arrived and started questioning the suspect, police say he was acting suspiciously.

They proceeded to pat down the suspect and found drug paraphernalia and a small plastic bag with meth. He was taken to the Barron County Jail for retail theft, drugs and probation violation.

His child that was with him was released to a relative.
