Drug use suspected in Trempealeau Co. crash

WHITEHALL, Wis. (WEAU) -- Investigators believe drug use factored into a crash that injured a driver south of Eleva.

It happened Sunday night on State Highway 93 in Elk Creek. The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office says a 19-year-old man from Kaukauna was heading south on highway 93, when he hit a pickup truck that was parked on the shoulder on the northbound side of the road near County Road E. Deputies say he ended up with "moderate injuries," and was flown to the hospital.

Nobody else was riding with the man at the time of the crash. The pickup truck was unoccupied.
