Drum shop customer gains attention

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A customer at La Crosse drum store has gotten a lot of attention.

Coalition Drum Shop manager Dustin Hackworth shot video of a customer named Mary a week ago.

Hackworth said he put the video on YouTube and it has more than 106,000 views as of Friday evening.

He said Mary comes in once about every two months to play the drums, but they haven’t seen her since last week, and would like to know more about her.

“Female drummers in themselves are rare, older drummers are rare, to have an older female drummer, who’s good is really rare. So we really found a diamond in the rough on this one,” said Hackworth.

Hackworth said the phone rang all day at Coalition Drum Shop.

The store has received calls from across the country about the video of Mary.
