Dump truck crash in Barron Co. causes fuel spill

BARRON, Wis. (WEAU) -- Crews were called out to clean up a fuel spill at the scene of a crash on Saturday morning.

The Barron County Sheriff's Department responded to County Road P near 8th Avenue, which is south of Almena. Deputies say Marvin Kraczek of Rice Lake was driving a dump truck and crossed a fog line. The shoulder was soft, and investigators say Kraczek over-corrected, which caused the truck to tip over and go into the ditch. The accident caused nearly 50 feet of damage to the road. Eighty gallons of diesel leaked out of the truck. Barron County Emergency Management and Greg Excavating were called to clean up the mess.

Kraczek ended up with minor injuries.
