DUNN COUNTY SALVATION ARMY PRESS RELEASE -- There are several ways to spread the holiday cheer! The Salvation Army is seeking volunteers for the Red Kettle Campaign to ring bells in their local communities. Last year we were able to raise a record breaking $14,321.30 in Dunn County!! This year the Salvation Army will have kettles in Menomonie at Market Place Foods, K-Mart, and both Wal-Mart entrances. All proceeds raised are given back to agencies in Dunn County, such as Stepping Stones and the Department of Human Services, throughout the year to benefit those in need.
Volunteers must be accompanied by an adult if under the age of 16. Groups are welcome to volunteer together as well. Volunteers sign up one hour shifts, as many as you wish to fill. If you are interested in volunteering as a bell ringer this year, click the link provided below.
Once there, you will then be able to choose which location you would like to volunteer at and see which dates and times still need to be filled. In order to reserve the shifts you will be asked to create a username. It's that easy! Help give back to your community this holiday season and let's shatter last year's record again!
