Local Dyslexia Fundraiser brings in new year

(WEAU) - People we’re even dancing the night away having a ball to benefit kids

It's the Second Annual Silver Moon New Year's Eve Ball, happening now at the Historic Masonic Center in Eau Claire.

The ball benefits the Children's Dyslexia Center of upper Wisconsin.

People enjoyed a five course meal and started dancing at eight to a jazz orchestra and a band.

The dyslexia center gives free tutoring to kids of all ages.

“It's one of only 3 in the state and is offered free to all children. It's the only kind of tutoring offered to children with dyslexia,” said one organizer.

The ball will end at midnight with a champagne toast.
