Eau Claire City Council to discuss Confluence petition further at next meeting

By  |

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Confluence Project was back on the agenda at Tuesday's Eau Claire City Council meeting.

Council members heard a first reading on a charter ordinance that could set the stage for a referendum on the project.

If council members approve the ordinance it would require a referendum if the city puts at least $1 million dollars toward the project.

The council could also choose to let voters decide if that ordinance should be law through a referendum process.

The council could possibly take action on the measures at its next meeting.
