Eau Claire City Council waiting to vote on combining departments

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Eau Claire City Council has decided to wait two weeks to talk about and possibly vote on a plan that would pool department resources.

At their meeting tonight, the council voted to postpone discussion on combining the public works and parks, recreation and forestry departments, so council members could learn more about it.

The combining is being proposed to better organize winter plowing and other maintenance jobs in the city.
