Eau Claire Co. updates hours for Jeffers Road Brush Site

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (EAU CLAIRE COUNTY RECYCLING PROGRAM NEWS RELEASE) -- The Eau Claire County Recycling Program currently has a vacancy for a site attendant to work Saturdays at the Jeffers Road Brush Site.

Therefore beginning August 5, 2014 the site will only be open Tuesday mornings, 7 am – 10:30 am. Residents may also utilize the brush site at in the Town of Seymour on Tuesday afternoons or Saturday mornings. The Town of Seymour Site is located off Hwy Q a ¼ of a mile east of the Seven Mile Creek Landfill.

Town of Seymour Hours
Tuesdays: noon – 4 pm
Saturdays: 8 am – noon

Jeffers Road Updated Hours
Tuesdays: 7 am – 10:30 am

Once the Saturday attendant vacancy is filled for the Jeffers Road Site it will reopen on Saturdays. Interested individuals can inquire about the position by calling 715-839-4741 or stop in at Planning and Development, 721 Oxford Ave in Eau Claire, to pick up an application.

As a reminder only brush, woody debris, 6 inches in diameter or smaller is accepted at both sites. Yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, garden plants) is no longer accepted at the Jeffers Road Site and is not accepted at the Town of Seymour Site. Contact your hauler for options, hold onto material until the fall yard waste pick-up November 3 – 7, compost the material on site or use the yard waste directory found on the County’s website; paper copies available at Eau Claire’s City Hall and L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library.
