Eau Claire car dealership raises money for Boys and Girls Club

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) An area car dealership raised money all last month for the Boys and Girls Club of the Chippewa Valley.

Prestige Auto says it gave $100 to the club for every car sold in June.

A total of $22,000 was raised, surpassing the fundraising goal of $20,000.

Prestige Auto says the money could not be going to a more worthy cause.

"I think it's a program that helps a lot of underprivileged children in the Chippewa Valley and we need to help these kids out. We can help them get a better boost in life, a better perspective on life, and that'll help them become better kids and better adults in the future," explains Dan Mattoon of Prestige Auto.

The company also had a hat deal, where customers could bring in an old hat, replace it with a new Prestige Auto hat, and the company would donate another $5 to the Boys and Girls Club.
