EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) If you have a lot of unwanted yard waste showing after the spring thaw,
soon there will be a place in Eau Claire to drop it off.

Tuesday night the Eau Claire City Council voted to have the disposal site on Jeffers Road take leaves and grass clippings, in addition to brush and tree limbs.

"Historically, leaf pickup was limited to a couple times a season from a private hauler, so now residents will have the opportunity to do that throughout the season," explains Todd Chwala.

Council members say the contract is ready to be signed. No date has been specified as to when you will people to drop off yard debris.
