Eau Claire man in critical condition after crash in MN

(WEAU) - An Eau Claire man is in critical condition after a crash in Minnesota.

It happened early Monday morning on I-94 in Stearns County. The Minnesota State Patrol says a semi was headed east on the interstate when it hit a car that was either slowed or stopped on the highway.

J.J. Bertrang, 33, was the driver of that car. He was taken to the hospital.

The semi driver was not hurt.

Troopers say roads were icy when the crash happened.
