Eleva-Strum school hosts Heritage Fair

(WEAU) - Some area students got a chance to learn about their heritage and showcase their work Wednesday.

It was the annual Heritage Fair at Eleva-Strum Intermediate School. Each fourth grader picked a country that they felt represented their own heritage or background. A lot of European countries were represented but there were Native American tribes and other countries as well.

4th Grade Teacher Julia Knobloch says it is a good way to get entire families involved, including the grandparents. She told us “They get to make krumkake with their grandparents and it brings together different generations as well.”

The community had a chance to take part in the fair as well, enjoying food and art that the students made.
