EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- An upcoming event will benefit area families who struggle with hunger.

The Feed My People Food Bank is holding its 14th annual Empty Bowls benefit on Thursday. It's from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Florian Gardens in Eau Claire. People who come to the event will be served soup, bread, and dessert. They can also choose to take home a hand-crafted "empty bowl." Students, artisans, and others in the community donate the bowls.

Adult tickets are $18 for a meal and a bowl. The meal alone is $8. Children 10 and under are free. You can buy advance tickets at Feed My People Food Bank or online by clicking on the link on the right side of this story.
