A Chippewa Falls tradition, FATFAR brings out tubers

(WEAU) - It's somewhat of a legendary event. FATFAR, which stands for Frenchtown Annual Tube Float and Regatta.

It's generally unorganized, but it brings out a few thousand people each year.

And with nice weather expected Sunday, this year will be no different.

The event happens every Father's Day in Chippewa Falls.

Many get creative with their floats, while others just bring their tubes.

It's the perfect people-watching event.

Drinking is also a big part of the event, and that is a concern for police agencies who keep watch.

Underage drinking has also been a concern in years past.
