CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Fairest of the Fair was crowned Friday at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair in Chippewa Falls.

18-year-old Taylor Huppert from Jim Falls was chosen to wear the crown and represent the fair as an ambassador.

WEAU's Jenny You was among the judges who chose Huppert.

Huppert recently graduated high school and plans to attend Marquette University in the fall where she will major in Spanish.

Huppert said she is excited for a year as the Fairest of the Fair.

"I hope to be a successful spokesperson for the fair and the face of the fair. I want to get families more involved in the fair. That's my goal," said Huppert.

Huppert will represent the Fairest of the Fair throughout the 2012-2013 year and will also compete at the state level.

Taking runner up for Fairest of the Fair is Lindsay Fedie of Eau Claire.
