PRICE COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- UPDATE: Deputies have released the name of the woman killed in a snowmobile crash in Price County Saturday.

The Price County Sheriff's Department identified her as 70-year-old Patricia Curran of Menominee Falls, WI.

Deputies say she was driving the snowmobile on a public trail east of Phillips, in the Town of Worchester, when she went off the trail, hit a wire and a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation.

A woman was killed in Price County Saturday afternoon when her snowmobile went off the trail, hit a wire and a tree.

The Price County Sheriff's Department says it happened just after 3 PM Saturday afternoon on a public trail east of Phillips in the town of Worcester.

They say the 70-year-old female driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her name has not been released, and the investigation is still ongoing.
