(WEAU) - A dad is behind bars Thursday night after police say he illegally took his two year old son nearly four months ago.

Altoona police say they found and arrested Kevin Tadder, 35, in a business parking lot on Fairfax Street in Altoona. Officers say the toddler was found unharmed at a home on Devney Drive in Altoona.

Police say Tadder took his son in September after a court ordered him not to have custody.

Altoona police helped the Juneau County Sheriff's Office and Mauston Police Department find Tadder who had multiple warrants.
