Fire danger high in Western Wisconsin

By  |

(WEAU)--Even with a late spring and the snowstorm last week in Western Wisconsin, much of the state is under a high or very high fire danger.

In Eau Claire and Chippewa Counties, the DNR says burning is not allowed due to the conditions. Campfires are allowed, but is strongly discouraged.

In Jackson and Clark Counties, there's very high fire danger. No burning is allowed there either.

For the latest fire conditions, you can visit the DNR's website.
