Fire destroys home in Cornell

(WEAU) - Fire crews were out in the cold temperatures Friday battling a house fire in Cornell.

The Cornell Fire Department got a call around 10 a.m. at a home on County Highway K. Crews say within five minutes of being on scene, the house collapsed. The home was destroyed.

Crews say nobody was home at the time.

Several fire departments were on scene to help.

Crews say a couple of hoses froze because of the cold temperatures.
