Fired Up celebrates one year anniversary

(WEAU) - A local charitable pizza company is celebrating its one year anniversary.

The Fired Up Pizza Company in Eau Claire turned one Tuesday. Fired Up, which specializes in fire baked pizza, donates a portion of all profits it makes back into the community.

General Manager Laurel Robertson says the company has given back more than $7,000 in their first year, and is hoping for even more the next year. Robertson told us Tuesday "We would like to double that, and with the support of our community coming into support Fired Up Pizza Company, we are going to be able to do that. So every little bit of each sale goes back to the community and we do choose what types of venues it goes to and groups, bit it’s kind of fun to have people come in and watch their response to that, and just see how happy they are to know that when they dine here that they are giving back."

The restaurant is owned by more than 20 community members.
