Firefighters stop garage fire before it spreads to house

Fire Truck

(WEAU) - Firefighters in Black River Falls were able to stop a garage fire from spreading to a home Friday morning.

It happened on Dennis Road southeast of Black River Falls around 11 a.m. The department says the garage was full of flames when they got there, but were able to save the house with only damage to its siding.

Crews think embers blew over from a burn barrel and started the fire.

No one was injured, but the garage is a complete loss.
