Five people charged in prostitution ring

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- Five people are charged in a prostitution bust at an Eau Claire hotel.

According to the criminal complaint, officers were led to the Days Inn on Craig Road after a man called police, claiming he had been robbed by two other men and a woman at the hotel.

Officers learned that the man was going to pay the woman for sex, before the two men entered the room, demanding his money and phone.

The complaint says the officers discovered the men and the woman, along with a second woman, were at the hotel as part of a prostitution ring.

Charges include prostitution, robbery with the threat of force, and pandering-solicitation.
