TOMAH, Wis. (WEAU)-- Five people were taken into custody during a search of a home in Tomah Tuesday morning.
The Tomah Police Department says the Monroe County Combined Tactical Unit was called to help police with a search warrant at 206 ½ E. Milwaukee Street. Officers tried to contact the people inside the apartment but were unsuccessful. Police called the tactical team after getting information that the suspects may be armed.
Officers say two people eventually came out of the apartment and were taken into custody by Tomah Police. Over the next couple of hours, three more people came out and were taken into custody by the tactical team.
Tomah police say the search was done as part of an on-going investigation. No other details were released.
