RHINELANDER, Wis. (AP) -- The former medical examiner for Oneida and Forest counties who was accused of taking body parts from autopsies has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
Forty-six-year-old Traci England pleaded guilty to two counts of misconduct in public office Friday in Oneida County Circuit Court. Charges of theft and obstructing an officer were dismissed.
England told investigators in Oneida County she kept a piece of cadaver spine during a 2012 autopsy in order to train her dog. She's also accused of keeping tissue from a body in another autopsy the same day in Forest County.
WSAW-TV reports sentencing is Feb. 10.
