SPOONER, Wis. (WEAU) -- Four people were hurt in a traffic crash involving a county-owned truck Wednesday morning.

It happened on County Road B, east of U.S. Highway 63, which is near Hayward. The Wisconsin State Patrol says it responded to the crash between a car and a Sawyer County "paramedic response vehicle" just before 11 a.m. Wednesday. Lieutenant Jeff Lorentz described it as a truck with emergency response equipment, but said that it was not an ambulance. People in both vehicles were hurt. A release from the state patrol did not say what led up to the crash. Troopers are investigating.
