Free Whooping Cough vaccine offered to uninsured adults

EAU CLAIRE Wis. (WEAU) - Several area health departments say they'll be offering free whooping cough vaccines to adults who don't have insurance.

Free clinics will be offered in Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe and Trempeleau County over the next 10 days.

Whooping cough usually starts out like a cold with a cough, but the cough worsens and can last for several weeks or even months.

The clinics will be offered at the times and locations listed below.

Jackson County: Jackson County Public Health Dept.
Wed Sept 25:All day until 6 pm

La Crosse County: La Crosse County Health Dept.
Tues Sept 24 & Wed Sept 25: 7:30 am – 7:00 pm

Monroe County: Burnstad’s European Village and the Monroe County Health Dept.
Thurs Sept 26: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm

Trempeleau County: Trempealeau County Health Dept.
Tues Sept 24 & Wed Sept 25: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
