EAU CLAIRE, Wis (WEAU) - The campus at UW-Eau Claire got a whole lot busier Thursday as freshmen started moving into the dorms.
UW-Eau Claire says this year more than 3,800 students will move into campus residence halls. Each year current students work to help new students and their families move in.
This year, like most years, people had to brave the warm temperatures throughout the day to get moved in. UW-Eau Claire Senior Leah Schultz told us "pretty much the same every year on move-in day. It seems to be the hottest day of the year, that's just how it goes."
The university says move in for upperclassmen will continue Friday.
Classes begin on September 4th.
