Friends raise money for Chippewa Falls business burned in fire

(WEAU) -- Exactly one month after a devastating fire destroyed several downtown Chippewa Falls buildings, community members get together to help a local business.

On Saturday friends and family of 'Touch of Class Ink' put out on a spaghetti feed at 'Bucky’s Sports Bar' to raise money for the business.

The tattoo business was at a total loss after the fire. Friends say the owners are both self-employed, relying on the business as their main income.

The August 8th fire destroyed four apartment units and damaged three downtown Chippewa Falls businesses, kicking renters out of their homes and owners out of their stores.

One person was treated for injuries.

Friends say Touch of Class Ink was connected with the community and they want to help rebuild what the business lost.

“Just helping someone that’s a good person in a time of need is always great,” says friend of the business Ryan Balts.

“It has been completely overwhelming to see how many people have supported us through everything,” says Morgan Crabb, owner of Touch of Class Ink.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
