EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The UW-Eau Claire men's hockey team is one game away from a national championship after winning Friday night in the NCAA division three Frozen Four, beating Utica College in New York.

And a crowd of local fans got to cheer on the team at a watch party at Hobbs Ice Center in Eau Claire.

Fans got to see their favorite players drop the puck on a jumbo screen, while enjoying food and drinks.

Even the kids got to watch as they skated around the rink for open-skating.

Organizers say it just goes to show, Eau Claire has a growing hockey community.
