Gas price spike is expected over the weekend

(WEAU) – Gas prices are expected to spike over the weekend.

An analyst with the website says we can expect prices to increase anywhere from $.10 to $.25 a gallon over the next day or two. He says the hike is due to a recent spike in the wholesale gas prices.

Friday, prices on the website for Eau Claire were mostly around $3.59. says one factor in the wholesale price spike was torrential rain that led to shutdowns of some pipelines in the Midwest.
