Gateway Academy students fire off rockets
(WEAU) - Even though it rained Thursday, middle school students from Eau Claire had a chance to see their engineering skills take flight.
It was a part of the Eau Claire County 4-H Gateway Academy. Students from Eau Claire area schools had to the chance to take classes in subjects like eco-design, robots, and manufacturing.
Then, students got to fire off rockets they designed and created at the academy outside of Northstar Middle School Thursday afternoon.
The students say building the rockets wasn't easy, but it was fun.
