Gordy's county market opening in Rice Lake

(WEAU) - Gordy's County Market is announcing the doors of its 10th location are now open in Rice Lake, in the former Kmart building at 2601 S. Main St.

"Thanks to the efforts of all our local contractors, vendor partners and employees, Gordy’s is proud to announce that our 10th location will be open on May 15, 2013. Rice Lake gives us another great opportunity to showcase our quality products, broaden the reach of our bottom line prices, and increase our community involvement,” said Jeff Schafer, president of Gordy's County Market.

"We are excited about the opening of our new store in Rice Lake. We look forward to meeting many of you from the area and providing you with excellent customer service along the way."

Gordy Schafer opened his first grocery store in Chippewa Falls in 1966. Gordy's has been a family owned and operated business ever since. They currently operate 9 Gordy’s County Market stores, three Gordy’s Markets, and five Gordy’s Valley Express gas stations. Combined, Gordy's employs more than 1000 people throughout west central Wisconsin.
