Gov. Walker visits Stanley to praise a local company

STANLEY, Wis. (WEAU) Governor Walker made a stop in Clark County Tuesday afternoon to praise a local company for its work.

The Governor toured Hixton Metal Incorporated in Stanley.

He says since the company started three years ago, it has grown constantly. Walker says it's great to see a small locally grown business expand.

"It's great to see the good work they are doing here, a company in just the last three years has doubled in size of their building here and the work that they are doing went from a handful of employees to 25 employees, that's the kind of growth we want to see here in the state of Wisconsin in manufacturing and agriculture and other key industries. And we are doing our best to help that become possible," says Walker.

Walker will be in Janesville Wednesday.
