Governor Walker visits Bloomer manufacturer

BLOOMER, Wis. (WEAU) Governor Scott Walker continues his "brown bag" tour at an area manufacturing company.

Monday, the Governor took a trip to A.J. Manufacturing Inc. in Bloomer, a company that specializes in insulated doors, to tour the building and talk about his "blueprint for prosperity" plan.

The plan would cut property and income taxes by millions of dollars, and adjust withholding for state income taxes by more than $322 million.

"We've done it in a way that's physically sound, we have a rainy day fund in our proposal that is still seven times greater than it ever was before, yet we were able to lower property taxes, income taxes, put more money back into people's paychecks through withholding reforms, we we feel pretty positive about our blueprint for prosperity and we are hopeful to get it passed," explains Governor Walker.

A.J. Manufacturing has been in business for 50 years. It employs 200 people.
