(WEAU) - Governor Scott Walker was in Schofield Friday where he talked about jobs.
Walker toured Merrill Iron and Steel in Schofield and said he continues to focus on creating jobs in the state. Walker says he hopes political differences can be settled.
The governor says he knows it won't be so simple, but he wants to get past the recall election, and the division. "It's our responsibility to move on so they inherit a better state than we did and to me it doesn't matter what's said in the past it’s what you do in the future and I'm committed to doing that," Walker said.
He says his focus remains on creating jobs, and matching people looking for work with the right skill set to get hired.
