EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - The democratic challenger to Governor Scott Walker made a stop in Eau Claire Tuesday afternoon.
Mary Burke made a campaign stop at Houligans Restaurant in downtown Eau Claire, where she met with small business owners about how to create jobs and opportunities in northwest Wisconsin.
Burke, who is a former Trek Bicycle executive, announced her candidacy for governor earlier in October.
She says bringing more business opportunities to our state is on the top of her agenda if she wins the election. Burke told us “I believe we have everything it takes in this state to have a growing thriving economy that’s in the top 10% and I would focus on the strengths of this state, our industries like agriculture and tourism and manufacturing and tech.”
Tune in Wednesday for Sunrise at 6:45 A.M., Mary Burke will be live in our studio to talk politics and share what she has planned for the coming months.
