NEW INFORMATION: Police make arrest in high school threat

(WEAU) - Police say officers made an arrest following an investigation into the threat at Medford High School, but are not releasing the suspect's name.

The threat was found Thursday in a girl’s bathroom, so the district checked backpacks and coats of everyone entering the high school today, and also had police officers at every school in the district.

It says it is looking forward to getting things back to normal on Monday.


(WEAU) - Police in one city will be checking backpacks and coats of students when they arrive Friday morning because of a threat.

The Medford School District says a specific threat was discovered in one of the girl's bathrooms in the high school Thursday.

It says it will be checking the backpacks and coats of everyone who enters the high school and there will be police officers at all the schools Friday.
