(WEAU) - A group of high school juniors from Elk Mound is putting a little extra effort into their school's food drive this year.
The students of Sharon Hostak's homeroom all put in $10 to buy food that will go to Elk Mound's Food Panty. Wednesday, they were at Feed My People Food Bank buying the food. Hostak says she wants her students to understand how giving for the holidays can be more rewarding than receiving.
Hostak said "I want them to see that giving always gives you more than you ever give, that you really get it back.”
The Hope Gospel Mission is providing a truck to help haul all the purchased food back to Elk Mound.
