Eau Claire, Wisc. (NEWS RELEASE) -- The recent Poppy Drive of American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 53 of Eau Claire, exceeded all expectations as the result of a large donation from Holiday Vacations.

The annual Poppy Drive is a crucial fundraiser for the American Legion Auxiliary. American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary members, community members, and businesses in the Chippewa Valley donated generously during the 2014 Poppy Drive in early May. Most generous of all was Holiday Vacations of Eau Claire which gave $10,000 in honor of all veterans.

The Holiday Vacations donation is the largest single donation ever received for the Eau Claire American Legion Auxiliary's Poppy Drive.

The Poppy Drive of the American Legion Auxiliary in Wisconsin benefits veterans in several ways, starting with paying disabled veterans to make the poppies. 100% of the Eau Claire Auxiliary's poppy profits are used to improve the welfare of veterans, active military personnel, and the families, especially in Western Wisconsin.
