Homeless shelter needs donations to remain open

(WEAU) - A homeless shelter in Rice Lake might have to close its doors because of a lack of funding.

The executive director of Benjamin's House Emergency Shelter says because of budget cuts, it will likely have to close the shelter on April 30th. Seventeen people who live there right now were told they would need to find other housing by then and on Monday, 7 staff members had to be laid off.

The shelter is asking for donations to help keep it open.
