EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) Hope Gospel Mission is bringing more hope and help to the community by opening a new donation processing center.
The new donation center will give the mission more room to sort donations, improve efficiency, and raise the number of donations they can process.
Thanks to the support of donors, the mission was also able to remodel its bargain center store.
The mission says all of this makes it faster and easier to donate, and allows the mission to better serve people in the community.
"It was fairly common for us for somebody to show up at five or six or seven o'clock at night and in order to get the items in by the end of the day, we'd have to tell them we were unable to take their donations. Now we're open 20 more hours per week accepting donations," says Craig Pederson.
Profits from the sale of donations serve as funding for Hope Gospel Mission's homes and programs to help people struggling with homelessness, joblessness, and other issues.
