Feist faces more than 20 counts including intentionally mistreating animals and failing to provide food and drink to confined animals.
POLK COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU)-- The owner of a Western Wisconsin horse ranch is headed to trial.
In Polk County Court Tuesday, Michael Feist entered not guilty pleas for several counts of mistreating animals.
The investigation began in September and in November, the Polk County Sheriff says four horses were found dead at the Otter Creek Ranch, in the Town of Milltown.
The criminal complaint accuses Feist of depriving the horses of quality food and water for an extended period of time.
He is due back in court in February.
