EAGLE POINT, Wis. (WEAU) -- Fire investigators are trying to figure out what started a house fire in Eagle Point.

The fire happened around 3 p.m. Friday at a two-story home.

Crews say the fire started in the basement of the home and worked its way up to the second floor.

No one was hurt but crews say four dogs died in the fire.

We’re told the house is at a total loss.

The Red Cross says its volunteers will help with the family’s needs.

No word yet on the cause of fire.
