Hundreds come for family fun at Xcel Energy Kids Expo

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Spring was finally in the air on Sunday as temperatures hit the 60s, and it was a good reason for families to get out of the house to find some fun.

Many chose to do that at the Xcel Energy Kids Expo. The event went throughout the afternoon at the Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center.

There were huge inflatables, a DJ, performances, face painting and plenty of games.

“I think it's a perfect time of the year, it's spring and people just want to get outside of the house and it's just a great family event for families to spend time together and be with the kids too,” said Ashley Doda with ECISC.

The final numbers for this year weren't in yet, but Doda said last year the event brought in about 4,500 people.
