Injured driver found after three-hour search

ALMA, Wis. (BUFFALO COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE) -- On Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2:55am the Buffalo County Sheriff's Department received a report of a one vehicle rollover on County Road Y south of County Road HH near the Trempealeau County line. Deputies arrived on scene and found a 2002 Chevrolet Corvette on its roof in the southbound ditch. Investigation showed the vehicle left the roadway struck a power pole and rolled over . After searching for the injured driver for approximately three hours, Van Vleet was located at a residence and transported by the Mondovi Ambulance to an Eau Claire Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Assisting Buffalo County at the scene was Mondovi Fire Department, Mondovi Ambulance, Mondovi Police Department, Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department and K9 unit . Accident remains under investigation by the Buffalo County Sheriff's Department.
