Eau Claire, Wis. (WEAU) -- There comes a time when it’s time to take what is old and make it new again. And so goes the story with our cars.
"By virtue of you being in the market it's a good time because the deals are there," said Kevin Klinkhammer with Ken Vance Car City Honda.
If you are in the market to buy new or giving it some thought, you might get a better deal buying new now, rather than later.
"When you have the 2013 cars coming on the lot and the 2012 vehicles are still here, there's going to be a good incentive for the 2012 vehicles," he added.
Klinkhammer says those incentives include things like 0% financing for 60 months, rebates, and cash back.
You will not have a "new" car as the 2013 models roll out, but Klinkhammer says in some cases, you will not even notice the difference.
At Eau Claire Ford, it is the same story with the Ford Explorer.
"This is the case where if you had the exact same vehicle, feature to feature, side by side, the 2012 is going to offer you better incentives, better opportunity for rates and offer you a better deal," said Jason Balk with Eau Claire Ford.
But some cars have undergone big changes in 2013, opening another possibility for deals. Jason Balk says the Ford Fusion is one of those cars. At Eau Claire Ford they have already sold out of the old 2012 models, and are waiting on the 2013 vehicles.
"And were starting to see that nationwide, throughout other stores that the 2012 Fusion is not always available as we're waiting for the 2013 cars to arrive," he added.
So if you are looking to snag a good deal, you have got to think new. Even if the car you are looking at technically will not be anymore.
"They're both still new vehicles, one is technically a model year old," he added.
