(WEAU) - More than 100 high school students put their business acumen to the test Tuesday at CVTC.
It was for the 12th annual Junior Achievement Business Challenge event. The students competed in a computer-simulated, business strategy tournament with the winners receiving scholarships.
The team runs a business, making decision on purchasing, marketing, inventory and research.
Altoona High School student Lynsie Schmidt told us "I think just realizing how each little decision affects the big picture so much. It didn't really hit me until today because watching what other groups were doing and how it affected their outcomes so greatly. It was mind boggling."
This year's competition was sponsored by Fairmont Minerals.
Over the past 12 years, Junior Achievement has awarded students with $60,000 in scholarships.
