EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Golfers hit the links Thursday in Eau Claire to help support talented students in our area.
Thursday afternoon was the 17th Annual Junior Achievement Golf Outing at Wild Ridge Golf Course. All the proceeds go to Junior Achievement programs designed to get students a start in the business world.
Former Green Bay Packer and new inductee into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Dave Robinson joined the golfers for a good time on a gorgeous afternoon.
Junior Achievement Northwest District Director Susan Peterson told us “We really wanted to incorporate the youth into Junior Achievement, so we did bring students to talk about why they like Junior Achievement and what their experience is and how that can carry on with them as they get older."
Last year's golf outing raised $50,000 for Junior Achievement and Peterson says they hope to exceed that number this year.
